Trust The Unfolding

There is a quiet moment
in every life

when the path ahead
refuses to explain itself.

The map grows uncertain.
The horizon rearranges.

Doors close
where certainty once stood.

And the mind,
trained to measure and predict,
begins to worry
that something has gone wrong.

But consider this:

the forest does not ask
the seed
what shape it intends to become.

The river does not demand
to know
every turn
before it begins its journey.

Life has always moved
with a deeper intelligence
than the careful calculations
of human fear.

The oak does not rush.
The tide does not hesitate.
The stars do not pause
to ask if they are bright enough.

They simply become
what they were meant to be.

And so it is with a life.

Much of what feels like uncertainty
is only growth
unfolding beyond the edges
of familiar understanding.

Paths bend
because something beautiful
waits around the corner.

Doors close
because a wider horizon
is quietly preparing itself.

What appears
like delay

is often the slow gathering
of something extraordinary.

So when the future
refuses to reveal itself,

do not rush to fill the silence
with fear.

Stand still.

Listen.

Trust the quiet wisdom
moving beneath the surface
of your days.

Because life
is not a problem to solve.

It is a story
that reveals its meaning
one page at a time.

And those who learn
to walk forward
with patience,

with openness,

with a steady and hopeful heart,

discover something remarkable.

The path
has always known
where it is going.

All it ever asked

was to be trusted

long enough

to unfold.

Poetry by Britt Wolfe:

Britt Wolfe

Britt Wolfe writes emotionally devastating fiction with the precision of a heart surgeon and the recklessness of someone who definitely shouldn’t be trusted with sharp objects. Her stories explore love, loss, and the complicated mess of being human. If you enjoy books that punch you in the feelings and then politely offer you a Band-Aid, you’re in the right place.
