The Stories After Series By Britt Wolfe

Some movies end on a perfect note—wrapped up, satisfying, no further questions. And then there are the ones that leave you staring at the credits like Wait… that’s it? That’s where we’re stopping?

Enter The Stories After, my entirely unsolicited but absolutely necessary collection of original novellas inspired by the kinds of films that refused to give me closure. Think of it as my answer to all those what happens next? moments that kept me up at night. I’m not rewriting stories; I’m crafting brand-new ones—original tales sparked by lingering questions, unresolved romances, and characters who deserved better.

Whether it’s a love story that clearly needed a post-credits epilogue, a hero who deserved more than five lines of backstory, or just that gnawing feeling that someone in the writer’s room left things deliberately vague to mess with us—I’m here to explore the what ifs. To take those open endings and create something new. Will I fix things? Maybe. Will I make them worse? Also possible. Either way, I’m writing it.

This series is for everyone who’s ever yelled at their screen, Googled “does [insert character] actually die??” in a panic, or spent an unreasonable amount of time imagining alternate endings instead of doing actual work. Some stories will bring comfort, others might bring chaos, and a few may leave you wishing I’d just left things alone. But honestly, where’s the fun in that?

A new novella drops on the 30th of every second month—so if Hollywood won’t give you closure, I’ll give you something almost as good: more story.

She Never Left - Coming September 30th

For decades, Sylvia Warden has tried to move on, but when her father dies, she is forced to return home—to the house where Ivy lived, where she died, where everything changed. She tells herself it’s just for a few weeks, just long enough to settle the estate, but from the moment she steps inside, she feels it—Ivy is still here. Sylvie sees her in reflections, hears whispers in the night, smells her perfume lingering in empty rooms. The past presses down on her, and no matter how much she tries to rationalize it, she can’t shake the feeling that Ivy never really left. As she sorts through her father’s belongings, old memories surface, revealing fractures in the story she has told herself for years. The deeper she digs, the more reality begins to unravel, until Sylvie is forced to confront a terrifying truth—one that has been waiting for her all this time. Because guilt has a way of taking on a life of its own. And if Sylvie isn’t careful, she may never leave this house either.

Devil’s Due

Devil’s Due

The television screen cast a flickering glow across the darkened room. The figure in the chair sat still, unmoving, eyes locked on the image of Lydia Quinn as she smiled for the camera. Fingers tapped once, twice, against the armrest. The voice on the television droned on, but the figure wasn't listening to the words. Not really. The sight of him—of Seb Mercer, his image displayed on the screen—was enough to ignite something sharp and hot beneath the skin.

Alive. Talking. Telling things that sounded like truths.

The figure’s breath quickened. This wasn’t supposed to happen.

Seb was supposed to be dead.

That night, all those years ago, the figure had been sure Sierra Hart had finished the job. Everyone thought so. She wasn’t called a final girl for nothing. Stabbed multiple times by his partner, Brandon Hale, in their twisted attempt to stage the perfect finale. Then Sierra fought back—fought him—and ended it with a final, brutal blow: dropping a heavy television set onto his head.

The figure remembered the reports. The details of how a teenager who should have died that night managed to claw his way back.

For thirty years, the world believed Seb Mercer was a willing accomplice in the Red Devil murders, but now, fresh out of prison, he’s telling his side of the story in Devil's Due—a tell-all memoir claiming he never actually killed anyone. According to Seb, Brandon Hale came to him that night desperate, needing help to finish what he started, and Seb, wanting to be part of something legendary, agreed—never realizing he would be the one paying the price. But as the book becomes a true crime sensation, a new killer wearing a blood-red devil mask emerges, targeting Seb and anyone connected to his past with a chilling message: some secrets should stay buried. With the body count rising, Sierra Hart is forced back into the nightmare she thought she had escaped, as Shane races to uncover the truth—because Brandon had secrets even he never knew. And this time, the truth isn’t just dangerous. It’s deadly.
