Why I Write To You Every Sunday…
Every Sunday, I publish a new poem—sometimes soft, sometimes sharp, always true to the feeling that inspired it.
When you subscribe, that week's poem arrives in your inbox at 11:11 AM, along with something I share nowhere else: a private reflection on where the poem came from, what inspired it, what I was exploring, or the thoughts lingering quietly beneath the words.
No scrolling. No noise. No algorithms competing for your attention. Just poetry, delivered on purpose, waiting patiently for you to meet it when you're ready.
And if you'd like to linger a little longer, I'd love to meet you there.
A gentle note, offered with love: these poems are works of fiction. They are not diaries, confessions, or evidence. They are emotions trying on language. Metaphors reaching for meaning. Moments becoming something else in the translation. If you recognise yourself in them… well. That’s between you and the poem.
The Thread That Ties Us
Some connections in life feel fleeting, like threads that slip through our fingers before we even realize we’re holding them. But then there are the rare ones—the threads that don’t fray or break, no matter how much time passes or how much distance stretches between us. This poem is for that kind of love. The kind that doesn’t just tether two hearts together—it binds souls, anchoring them through life’s storms and calm alike. It’s about seeing and being seen, loving and being known, in a way that feels timeless, unshakable, and achingly beautiful.
The Hands That Built Our World
Step into a love story that’s as expansive as the world itself and as intimate as a quiet glance across the room. This poem is a celebration of the deep, soul-stirring connection that grows in the spaces between adventures and everyday moments—the kind of love that anchors you, lifts you, and reminds you of who you are. From sun-soaked summers in Australia to snowy winters in Canada, from furry companions to shared dreams, this piece beautifully captures the tapestry of a life built together. If you’ve ever felt the quiet magic of being truly seen and loved, this poem will speak straight to your heart.
We Are Married (Haha!)
Get ready to laugh, cry, and swoon all at once with We Are Married (HAHA)—a love poem that perfectly captures the beautiful chaos of finding your person. From sapphires in her hair to baby crocodiles in her arms, this poem isn’t just a walk down memory lane—it’s a full-on adventure through a love story that’s equal parts wild, heartfelt, and hilariously honest. If you’ve ever believed that love is in the glitches, the laughter, and the unexpected moments that make life extraordinary, this poem is for you. Click to read the full piece and get swept up in a love that’s as fierce as it is funny.
Blissfully Us
Blissfully Us is a heartfelt celebration of love in its purest, most joyful form. This poem captures the warmth of shared laughter, the comfort of a steady hand, and the beauty of a connection that weathers every season. With vivid imagery and tender rhythms, it invites readers to step into a world where love feels light as air, glowing through even the darkest days. Whether you’re in the midst of your own love story or dreaming of one to come, Blissfully Us will wrap around you like a soft embrace, reminding you that true happiness isn’t found in grand gestures—it’s in the quiet, everyday moments spent with the one who feels like home.
Certified Hottie (No Degree Required)
This poem is a cheeky, laugh-out-loud celebration of love in its most unexpected, unfiltered moments—the kind that sneak up on you when you least expect it. It’s an ode to the partner who turns folding laundry into a runway event, eating ice cream into high art, and building a deck into, well, the most distracting display of rugged charm you’ve ever seen. Inspired by the wild, wonderful messiness of real life, this piece reminds us that the most breathtaking views aren’t always sunsets or mountaintops—they’re often standing in your living room in sweatpants, completely unaware of the chaos they’re causing in your heart. It’s funny, it’s a little bit thirsty, and it’s all about the magic that happens when you find someone who’s as irresistible with a hammer as they are with a spoonful of dairy. Because soulmates are great and all, but have you seen my husband?
The Gravity Between Us
The Gravity Between Us is a sensual, romantic poem that captures the enduring magnetic pull between a wife and her husband, even after 13 years together. It explores how their connection goes beyond love and partnership, delving into the simmering attraction that still lingers in the smallest, everyday moments. Whether it’s a glance across the room, the brush of his hand, or the quiet moments between heartbeats, the wife remains captivated by her husband’s presence—both his mind and his undeniable, smoke show good looks. The poem weaves together themes of longing, familiarity, and the kind of deep-rooted passion that doesn’t fade with time but grows richer, more intoxicating, and impossible to resist.
Poetry by Britt Wolfe
I publish a new poem every Sunday. Sometimes they're tender. Sometimes they're rage in a nice outfit. All of them are my attempt to make sense of the human experience using metaphors, emotionally charged line breaks, and what I choose to believe are perfectly reasonable coping mechanisms.
A quick note before we go any further: these poems are works of fiction. They may borrow from emotions, observations, memories, questions, or passing moments that refuse to leave me alone, but they are not diary entries. Poetry lives somewhere between truth and imagination, and I'm far more interested in emotional honesty than factual accuracy. Sometimes a poem begins with a feeling. Sometimes it begins with a sentence. Sometimes it begins because a particular image won't let me go.
Poetry, for me, isn't about answers. It's about paying attention. It's about taking the messy, beautiful, heartbreaking experience of being human and turning it into something that can be held for a moment before it slips away again.
You'll find familiar themes wandering through these pages: love, grief, hope, identity, healing, joy, heartbreak, and the strange ways we survive one another. Some poems will whisper, "Hey... you okay?" Others will arrive carrying a crowbar and a strong opinion. I make no promises about which version you'll get.
Think of these poems as an ongoing conversation—one I'm continually having with the world, with myself, and occasionally with whatever part of us still believes words can help.
Thanks for being here.
This poem marks a deliberate turning point: not self-love declared prematurely, but self-harm consciously ended. Ceasefire frames acceptance as a strategic decision rather than an emotional breakthrough—an agreement to stop treating the self as an enemy while acknowledging that affection may come later. It holds optimism without erasing damage, offering a vision of peace that is tentative, earned, and quietly radical: the permission to exist, unfinished, without continuing the war.
